How much spring pressure do you have, it makes a huge difference in how long they will last.
If you have a roller big solid Cam, don't skimp on the rockers

thinking of going with a solid cam.

Solid Flat Tappet. Good for bracket racing with 383-440 c.i. motors in medium weight car. Needs 4500 RPM stall converter, headers, 11:1+ com- pression, 4.56-4.88 gearing. Rough idle.
•Advertised Duration (Int/Exh): 316/326
•Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 261/271
•Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .540/.563
•LSA/ICL: 108/106
•Valve Lash (Int/Exh): .020/.022
•RPM Range: 4200-7200

or
Solid Flat Tappet. Excellent cam for Super Gas or bracket racing with 400-440 c.i. motors. Needs 5000 RPM stall converter, headers, 12:1 compression ratio and 4.88-5.38 gear- ing. Rough idle.
•Advertised Duration (Int/Exh): 322/322
•Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 276/276
•Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .600/.600
•LSA/ICL: 108/106
•Valve Lash (Int/Exh): .026/.028
•RPM Range: 4600-7800

also would like to go higher lift but not sure how far I can go with edelbrock rpms without changing valves for more valve length.
wish I had the $ to get better heads but looks like that will have to wait till next yr

I'm trying to go 10's if I hit 9's it get a bit harder with the rule, equipment and would need to get a comp lic. want a season to learn before I go crazy

528 stroker kit .040 over bore =( 522") 0 decked block ,12.6-1 comp, edelbrock rpm heads, TM7 with 1090 king demon, light car 2500lbs,powerglide with trans brake, 4500-5500 stall ,4.56 gear with 32.5 tire leaving on trans brake which cam do you guys think will make it happen?

My friend glen swears by Harland sharp so I guessing that probably the best choice

hughes roller rocker ?

Any port work done on the heads? That big cube motor needs a lot of air/fuel. I think the heads will be your weak point. Should have some victors, even out of the box that engine would love them. I have no personal experience with the Hughes rockers but they are supposed to be the next best thing to TD rockers

I wish it was in my budget to get better heads.
I was looking at the new 240 trick flows $1800 for a set and flow 334 cfm intake wich is 44 cfm more than the ede rpms but I'm waiting for the 270 trick flows coming out soon.

I saw those, they look nice but they almost seem to good to be true as far as the price. I'll wait for some real world feedback before I buy a set myself

I haven't seen the Hughes rockers or know anyone how has used them.
Spinning the motor past 7,000 RPM you might want to look at a Jessel set, I know they are more money but you don't want to break a rocker at that RPM.
