Rented a Challenger

Postby 68383 » Sat Aug 08, 2015 9:11 am

I was in CA for work this week and put about 200 miles on a 2014 Challenger R/T. It was quick, comfortable, and I liked it overall.

The things I didn't like as much were just like the 70s Challengers- squashed rear window, and I whacked my head on the roof once when getting out.

Overall, I'd say it's boss.

Very cool. Judging by the number of challengers out on the road I'd say you're not alone in thinking that.

The Scat Pack Challenger featured in a recent issue of Mopar Muscle, with the 6.4, caught my attention. Any opinions on it?

Thanks.

Rented a Challenger

I was actually talking to somebody about them. I think they are nice. We both agreed, 700hp aside, that we preferred the scat pack challenger to the hell cat. Just liked the bumble bee on the fender and the subtle style cues as opposed to the hell cat. The sticker price is much better also. Bang for the buck, the way to go in my opinion. That's what I would buy if I was in the market for one

The downside for me is that I've driven 30-35K a year for the last 10 years.

That changed today. I found out that, unless I'm traveling for work, I no longer have a commute. I officially got kicked out of the office and am working from home.

Good mileage reduction plan, if you ask me.

Congrats, Dave, since you seem pleased.

Now you can buy the snarling 6.4L Scat Pack and enjoy it without bleeding gas money.

Yeah.

The company car lease ends in about 25K, so I'll be stuck with these wheels for a while longer.
