Grave Lee

Postby 68383 » Sat Jul 18, 2015 9:22 pm

I'm entering another build off. It's for anything 4x4 with an 01 and Confederate flag on it.

What do you guys think about doing a Grave Digger truck up in orange and black with the numbers, flag, and the words, "Grave Lee?" (Like gravely)

It'd be cooler if it were a Mopar.
But I do think it would be cool looking.

Wow , I'm glad to see that someone is doing something positive with the Stars and Bars theme , with everything that's been going on with the flag lately . As far as doing Grave Digger over , I'm kind of with Ryan . I think it would look really cool but just wish it could be an old Mopar . To bad they didn't make an old Dodge panel truck model in that scale that you could put the body on the Grave Digger frame and maybe add a Hemi to it just to finish it off .

I don't have any old Dodge truck bodies to use and already did that Big Red Express build.

Hemi is the way to go though.

It was just a thought . I'm guessing there's probably going to be a lot of 4x4 Chargers and pick ups so I think then I'd stick with your Digger idea . No matter what you do , I know it will be great judging from your other work that I've seen . :D

Alright, I've just seen too many orange trucks with the 01 and confederate flag, so my build has to be different.

Thinking of doing the nose black, roof and the quarters and lower doors orange, then a strip of blue framed in white with white stars where the kit says, "Grave Digger."

Then the flag on the roof, "Grave Lee" lettering somewhere, one the 01 from the Dukes of Hazzard movie, before the General Lee's massive transformation.

Maybe a two tone black and orange chassis, and I'll look for 1/16 scale General Lee wheels to see if they'll fit the Grave Digger tires.

Thoughts?

And I'm seeing if I can get the Xtreme Lee flag and movie version 01 made in time.

Figured I'd play around on paper before laying paint. Any reactions?

Not bad , not bad at all ! I definitely like the Xtreme Lee version of the Stars and Bars better . I think it's better since it's going on a 4x4 and It looks like it's been battle tested . :D
