MassMopar Cruise

Postby Sneke_Eyez » Tue Jun 11, 2013 10:33 am

So, the Moparts cruise has got me thinking:
Why not a MassMopar cruise?

I'm willing to plan it if you guys are willing to help me figure out where we should go, what we should see, etc.

I don't want to rip off Art's cruise, I just think cruises are fun, and since I (and several of us on here) missed out on the Moparts cruise, why not try to do one of our own? This might be a good, easy way to get people interested in the site, too.
We could even end it up at Rutland State Park, since I know that has been the site of earlier MassMopar events and might be a return to tradition...

Any thoughts, suggestions, etc?

That would be cool, but I bet Zi'm out of commission until the Fall (perfect cruising weather, BTW).

Is Rutland open to the public? I thought we had issues having event there. Something like state funding?

I can call Rutland (or someone with the state, if necessary) and check whether we could do it there.
If not, I am sure there is somewhere else we could do it.

We were having yearly events at Rutland. The year after the last one we had state funding was cut forcing the park to close earlier than our planned date. ;)

That's city-like. How fun would that be?

I wouldn't object to something east but there might be possible issue with the amount of traffic. ;)

I'm also on the East Coast of MA, but frankly, I don't know how ideal a cruise is on the east coast. Maybe cruise the North Shore? That'd be kind of a short cruise, though.

Hmm, so Rutland was a yearly thing? It was in October if I remember correctly, right Mike?

So, thus far we've got: Let's cruise in the fall, in NH, and maybe on the east coast... I'm still formulating, we'll see how many of those ideas I can get into a cruise plan.
