New England Nationals

I was at Epping yesterday for the nationals Great time, perfect weather.

I have never seen a top fuel car blow up in person. It happened twice in eliminations. We were in section 17 at the top of the stand and both cars were right at the 1000 ft mark. You can actually feel the shock wave when they went.

My wife though she died and went to heaven. John Force autographed the shirt she was wearing.

Not there, but I think she would have let him! :) Here!

While she was after John I slipped over to Courtney's pit and got her to sign my hat. She's hotter in person than on TV, especially with skin tight jeans and high heel boots. :)

Sorry no pictures, I tried to take a self portrait with her and messed up.

Couple of my favorite mopars.

This was more than a Funny Car Race. This was a NHRA national event with all the pro classes. Top Fuel, Top Fuel Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Bike.

Interesting occurrence Sunday afternoon. First time in NHRA history a husband (Matt Smith) and wife (Angie Smith) met in the final of a pro event (Pro Stock Motorcycle), Angie won.

The last two pictures were of Allen Johnson and Jeg Coughlin's Pro Stock Darts. These guys won the last two Pro Stock Championships.

they are great i remember them blowing up before they had the straps holding the blower on .they would shoot up in the air a couple of hundred feet in the air and the annoncer would tell everyone dont touch it after it landed because it would be hot    the good old days

Sound like you had a great time ! I haven't been up there in "years" . Were going to try and make it up there at least once this year . Hopefully with the Warlock so I can make a few pass's . I take it the drivers made it out OK ?
